Professor Alan Riley, a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe, Natolin. A member of the Advisory Committee of the Energy Community (Vienna), a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council (Washington DC). Currently is acting as an EU advisor on energy security to the Prime Minister of Moldova, advised several EU states (and Ukraine) as well as energy companies, along with the European Union institutions, on EU energy law issues and related strategy questions. From 2007 to 2015 he held a chair in international commercial law at the City Law School (Grays Inn, part of City, University of London). Prior to that, he held a number of academic appointments in London, Nottingham, and Edinburgh. He specializes in antitrust, trade and energy law, and EU policy issues.
